Rumor and speculation surround the casting of Scott Summer aka CYCLOPS in the upcoming Matthew Vaughn directed film X-Men: First Class. The latest rumor comes to us from Quint at Ain’t it Cool News.

Aintitcool Gang,

I work in the [REDACTED] and we heard today that Matthew Vaughn found his young Cyclops and it shouldn’t be any surprise because he worked with him before. It’s Aaron Johnson. This is one hundred percent locked at this point. Thought you guys should know.

Call me “Son of Rothman”

Aaron Johnson, better known to the world as KICK ASS in Matthew Vaughns last film of the same name, seems to be up for the optic blasting leader of the X-men! Again… at this time its JUST a rumor. And speaking of such, Variety says that Nicholas Hoult will play Beast and Caleb Landry Jones will play Banshee in X-Men: First Class, to be directed by Matthew Vaughn. The Banshee casting was first reported by Latino Review.
