This really isn’t a toy, but I’m filing it under Toys From The Batcave, as I originally envisioned this column to be the Batcave trophy room.
Once upon a time, in a land far far away, there was a magical place called The Warner Brothers Studio Store.
In this store, you could find anything your heart desired that related to your favorite movie and comic book characters.
Clothing, housewares, toys, sculpture, jewelry, art, you name it, they made it.
This lamp features Gotham’s Caped Crusaders as they race to the scene of a crime.
Behind them Gotham City. Above them, shines The Batsignal, summoning the Dynamic Duo to Commissioner Gordon’s office.
No doubt one of Gotham’s super criminals has pulled another fiendish criminal coup!

This is how the lamp appears when unlit.
Now, for the particulars: Base is 7″ wide by 7″ at deepest part.
It stands 16″ high with shade. The Batman and Robin figures stand 7″ and 5″ high, respectively.
Also, it’s really impressive that they didn’t just leave the back of the lamp flat, but fully sculpted and painted the windows on the rear of the buildings.
The sculpt on this lamp is absolutely beautiful. Batman and Robin burst right out of a Silver Age dream and into three dimensions!
While this resides in my living room, it’s rarely lit up. It requires a special bulb that’s small, but powerful, and I don’t want it to overheat and damage the shade.
I love this lamp for several reasons. First, it reminds me of the animation from the iconic 1960′s Batman series. The style also reminds me of the famous drawing of Batman and Robin on the rooftop by Carmine Infantino.
