After all the pomp and circumstance, all the jokes, the jeers, the comments, the costume alterations etc… the final verdict from NBC?

NO!!!

The Wonder Woman pilot from David E. Kelley and Warner Bros. TV starring Adrianne Palicki was not picked up by NBC. But WHY? Why would NBC pass on this? Inside TV tells us:

NBC isn’t saying for now but scuttlebutt reveals the pilot earned mixed reviews at test screenings. And then there was all the online blow back about the costume – which seemed to de-emphasize the patriotism and play up the comic’s Greek mythology. Ultimately, the wardrobe department went back to the drawing board but that didn’t seem to save the project.

I can’t say that I didn’t see this coming. From what it looks like, the project isn’t COMPLETELY dead in the water. But it is highly unlikely that anyone will pick the project up now. I am sure more info on this will be revealed as time goes by.

About Damian

A native of Glastonbury, Connecticut, Damian has lived in Los Angeles for more than four years. Having worked in front of, behind, and above the camera, he has become a “Jack of All Trades” in the entertainment biz. Damian has collected comic books since he was five years old, dressed up as super-heroes since he was six, and occasionally gets paid by companies to portray them at conventions across the country. More important, he uses his awesome powers for good. Several times a year he collects donations from movie studios, toy companies, and comic book shops, so he can don the tights and cape of Superman for visits to children’s hospitals and the City of Hope’s annual cancer survivors picnic. Damian is currently working on several ongoing web series. In his spare time he enjoys slaying damsels and saving dragons in distress!
