DRAGON*CON 2011

Dragon*Con, for the uninitiated, is a massive science-fiction and pop culture convention held in Atlanta, Georgia every year.

This is my second year attending as roving photojournalist for The Comic Book Nerd.

The Jonesy meets STAN LEE!!!! Excelsior!

Having my photo taken with Stan Lee was a dream come true for me! The photo op experience is a very swift one. You stand in a long, curvy line, and when you’re finally near the star, you have about five seconds with them. Stan is warm and incredibly friendly. I thanked him for showing, and for having created so many characters that I love!
How I would love to have lunch with him and listen to his stories.
What I love most about him is that he’s still going strong in his 80′s!
Developing and promoting new projects all the time. Retirement doesn’t look like it’s any nearer for the Ol’ Generalissimo!

Meeting Sylvester McCoy (aka the 7th Doctor) was also a tremendous thrill!

With Paul Charles (as Beast Boy) who writes The Gay Comic Geek Blog.  He matched my pants!
